Overview

Christina McNamara is a healthcare attorney in Holland & Knight's Houston office. Ms. McNamara focuses her practice on a wide variety of transactional, operational, reimbursement and regulatory matters for healthcare providers and suppliers, including ambulatory surgical centers, home health agencies, hospices, hospitals and health systems, academic medical centers, medical schools and clinical laboratories.

Ms. McNamara regularly advises healthcare clients on negotiating complex healthcare transactions and navigating related regulatory matters, including Medicare and Medicaid enrollment and reimbursement issues and facility licensure and certification issues. Through her work on numerous healthcare transactions, she has significant experience in healthcare due diligence matters, as well as regulatory and reimbursement implications of changes of ownership.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. McNamara advised healthcare clients for a global law firm's Houston office for nearly 20 years.

  • Represented a national healthcare company in the negotiation of numerous acquisition and joint venture transactions involving ambulatory surgical centers across the country
  • Advised a private equity company on a full range of corporate and regulatory issues, including Medicare and Medicaid enrollment and licensure matters, in connection with the acquisition of home health and hospice agencies

  • Represented a national healthcare company on a full range of legal issues for the company's providers and suppliers, including Medicare and Medicaid enrollment and reimbursement matters and facility and ancillary licensure matters
  • Advocated for numerous ambulatory surgery center clients to successfully resolve regulatory matters before state licensing agencies
  • Advised several large hospital chains across the country with respect to Medicare and Medicaid enrollment and reimbursement issues
  • Counseled a state medical school on federal regulatory requirements for graduate medical education agreements
