Overview

Yared Salgado is an international corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Mexico City office with more than 15 years of cross-border experience. Mr. Salgado advises private companies, financial institutions and governmental entities across Mexico, Latin America, the U.S. and Caribbean.

Mr. Salgado focuses his practice on banking and finance, regulatory matters, project development and finance, structured and leveraged finance, acquisition finance, capital markets, corporate transactions, technology and data law, compliance, and other complex domestic and cross-border business transactions. He has significant experience advising clients in key industry sectors, including infrastructure, energy, oil and gas, power generation, telecommunications, water, mining, toll roads and real estate.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Salgado served as an international associate in the capital markets and project development and finance practice groups of a global law firm's New York office. He also served as vice president of technology and data architecture at a global top-tier asset manager.

In addition, Mr. Salgado has extensive experience with Mexico's public sector. Before entering private practice, he served as deputy director general of financial system authorizations at Mexico's financial regulatory authority, as well as deputy legal director of project finance at two major development banks in Mexico.
