The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act

This webinar presentation addresses the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) signed into law in April 2015. MACRA averted a 21 percent cut to Medicare payments and permanently replaced the flawed Medicare Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) formula with a more stable, predictable payment system, among other critical changes to the Medicare program.

• how eligible professionals will be paid under Medicare Part B for the next few years
• the details of the new Part B reimbursement systems – the Merit-Based Incentive Payment Systems (MIPS) and Alternative Payment Models (APMs) – that will take effect in 2019
