Senior Policy Advisor Larry Bucshon and Healthcare attorney Brent Hill will participate in a breakout session sponsored by Holland & Knight at the upcoming Nashville Healthcare Sessions 2025 conference. Their session will delve into how the healthcare industry has witnessed significant shifts in policy at the federal level over the past year, particularly since the inauguration of President Donald Trump, and at the state level.

At a federal level, changes to Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement, National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding and other regulatory matters – including implications of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBB) – are impacting how deals get done. Similarly, nearly 15 states have enacted legislation in the last year that will affect how healthcare deals are executed. Mr. Bucshon and Mr. Hill will analyze how current and proposed legislative changes are influencing deal valuations, due diligence processes and strategic decision-making in healthcare mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
