International Trade attorney Robert Friedman will speak at the American Bar Association's (ABA) 35th Annual Review of National Security Law CLE Conference on a panel titled "National Security Law in Private Practice." He will join leading practitioners to survey core subject areas shaping private practice today: cybersecurity and data privacy, export controls and economic sanctions, foreign direct investment/Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and industrial security, and national security-related investigations and enforcement. This review will cover statutes, procedures, agency touchpoints and common practice challenges. The panel will also discuss career pathways into national security law and how private practice roles differ from government service. Holland & Knight is proud to sponsor this event.
