2026 Real Estate Law and Business Forum
USC Gould School of Law
Los Angeles, California 90071
Real Estate attorney Susan Booth and Partner Aaron Crews will participate in USC Gould School of Law's 2026 Real Estate Law and Business Forum. This annual conference represents a premier event for real estate professionals in Southern California, convening practitioners from across the U.S. to explore current trends and discuss future needs. Holland & Knight is proud to serve as a conference sponsor.
Ms. Booth, who serves as co-chair of the forum, will give opening remarks and later moderate an introductory panel on data center investing. The discussion will examine how digital demand translates into real estate value and operational performance, with panelists exploring the core economic drivers of the asset class, real estate fundamentals that distinguish data centers from traditional commercial property and operational realities such as power, cooling, uptime and scalability that ultimately determine returns. Speakers will also provide a guide for understanding how data centers make money, where risks arise and why this infrastructure has become one of the most compelling intersections of technology and real estate.
Mr. Crews will speak on a panel exploring the evolving use of artificial intelligence (AI) by real estate attorneys and their clients, including its impact on real estate transactions. Speakers will discuss how AI tools are being implemented in legal departments and law firms, how those tools are being used specifically by real estate lawyers and business professionals, the effects of AI on hiring and training personnel, and clients' evolving expectations regarding AI use by outside counsel. The panel will emphasize practical tips and use cases for practitioners.
