In Trump Era, States Take Lead On Social Cost Of Carbon

Although there have been numerous failed attempts at enforcing polices that should be geared toward combating climate change, certain states have made progress towards environmental regulations. This includes regulatory action such as energy goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, agencies conducting regulatory analyses and cap and trade programs. The most recent executive order discourages federal agencies to use the standard social cost of carbon (SC-CO2) figure, and are now required to determine the SC-CO2 figure independently.
