Five Key Takeaways from California’s Watershed Privacy Law

Attorney Joel Roberson co-wrote an article, republished by Insurance Journal, on the key questions surrounding the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA). Enacted on June 28, the CCPA shares similar themes of consumer rights, personal information control, and company data use transparency with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which could mean entities will once again have to review and redirect their privacy compliance efforts.
