On Feb. 7, 2019, the Federal Election Commission (FEC) increased certain federal campaign contribution limits. Most significantly, the individual contribution limit to candidates was increased to $2,800 per candidate, per election while the individual contribution limit to national party committees was increased to $35,500 per calendar year. The individual contribution limit to Political Action Committees (PACs) remains unchanged at $5,000 per calendar year. Certain federal campaign contribution limits are indexed for inflation every two years and the next adjustment will occur in early 2021.
