Challenges of the New Mayor for the Urban Development of the City

Real Estate attorney Esteban García wrote a column for Asuntos Legales examining the challenges that the new government in Bogotá will face related to urban development. Mr. García explains that one of the most important challenges the administration will have will be the implementation of the different planning instruments established in the Plan of Territorial Ordering in Bogotá under an economic outlook that is unfavorable for the construction sector. He also emphasizes the importance in monitoring and revising incentives that can be derived from the increase in taxes associated with real estate development.
