Technology and innovation attorneys Josias Dewey and Samir Patel co-authored the USA chapter that provides a comprehensive overview of the regulatory landscape for digital assets, covering government attitudes, sales regulation, securities and oversight laws, money transmission, taxation, promotion, ownership and licensing, mining, border restrictions, reporting and estate planning.
Mr. Dewey also served as the contributing editor of the book and authored its preface highlighting the evolving regulatory clarity in the digital assets and crypto space.
Intellectual Property (IP) attorneys Ieuan Mahony, Brian Colandreo and Jacob Schneider co-authored the "Blockchain and intellectual property: A case study" chapter to help practitioners identify some of the issues that may affect blockchain development and adoption. The authors address questions related to a company's creation of its own IP and discuss these matters in the context of a hypothetical scenario.
