Colombia's music industry has boomed in recent years. Because of this, it has professionalized the market so that bands and managers can generate legal security and protect their income. Over the past 15 years, 192,000 works have been registered in the National Directorate of Copyright.
Intellectual Property Attorney Danilo Romero commented on this, saying, "the registration is legal security for the bands, with that they have a clear evidentiary support in case of any dispute."
