Pandemic Makes it Difficult to Digitalize Processes

Technology & Telecommunications attorney Octavio Lecona was interviewed about the problems inflicted by the pandemic with respect to the digitalization of government processes and obtaining appointments in Mexico. He shared his observations in this area and explained the importance of having a well-implemented digital government policy.

"Even if we are not in the lowest tables, we are far from the countries with which we could compare ourselves," he said. "...It is particular in a situation of scarcity not only because of the pandemic but also because of the lack of investment in and maintenance of these systems."
