Physician Fee Cut Conversations Ramping Up on the Hill

Healthcare policy advisor Miranda Franco was cited in a POLITICO Pro article discussing lawmakers' efforts on giving doctors some relief from impending Medicare reimbursement cuts in a year-end government spending package. Reimbursement rates have not kept up with inflation, which hurts patient access by making it harder for physician practices to survive.

Ms. Franco said that although there isn't opposition to preventing the cuts, there's disagreement among lawmakers over how deep the reduction should be because of the potential costs.
