Tax attorney Juan Pablo Díaz was quoted in an Asuntos Legales article about the different alternatives that exist in Colombia to protect wealth before getting married. The separation of assets is one of the most complicated processes when leaving a relationship if individuals did not protect their estate. Therefore, Mr. Diaz explains the different legal actions that can be taken before marriage and the importance of each one.
"You can sign the public deed of marriage and immediately afterwards a deed of liquidation of the conjugal partnership before the notary immediately after contracting the nuptialsn," he said.
