Lawmakers from Last Congress Land Lobby Jobs Despite Bad Rap

Public Policy & Regulation Group Leader Rich Gold was quoted in a Bloomberg Government article discussing the importance of hiring former members of the 117th Congress in the lobbying sector. Mr. Gold stressed the significance of hiring work-horses rather than show-horses and praised the firm's recent hire, former Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-Colo.), as a standout example. He also emphasized that hiring diligent former members can lead to a firm's success in assisting clients on legislation. 

"There are show-horses and work-horses," he said. "The trick is telling the difference in the recruitment process. [Perlmutter] is a work-horse. He's making me look like a recruiting genius."
