After Unexpected Mayoral Election Result, Several Miami Attorneys Are Optimistic About Real Estate

Real Estate Partner Hugo Arza was quoted in a Daily Business Review article sharing South Florida real estate lawyers' reactions to Eileen Higgins' win in the Miami mayoral election. A former Miami-Dade County commissioner, Higgins' platform emphasized restoring trust in city government, enhancing affordability and improving transit. Mr. Arza expressed optimism that Miami's real estate market will see continued development under her tenure as well as a focus on affordable housing projects.

"Mayor Higgins is well aware from her time as county commissioner of some of the challenges with construction delays and other impediments to development in the city, and I think she comes in with a fresh set of eyes to try and see if some of those issues can be resolved," he said.
