The Business Agenda in 2026 Will Be Influenced by the Tax Debate

Bogotá Executive Partner Enrique Gómez‑Pinzón was interviewed by Portafolio about the business and regulatory outlook for Colombia for 2026 and its effects on corporate decision‑making and demand for legal services. Mr. Gómez‑Pinzón highlighted that the country's business agenda will be strongly influenced by the ongoing fiscal debate, stating that he believes the government will have to create a more orderly, predictable tax framework that encourages long‑term investment and bolsters job creation.

"Likewise, it will be key to move toward a more efficient state, with clear rules, reduced unnecessary burdens and strict compliance with ethical standards, both in the public sector and among private parties that contract with the state," he said.
