Healthcare Senior Policy Advisor Miranda Franco was quoted in a POLITICO article on increased lobbying activity among pharmaceutical and insurance companies as both Republicans and Democrats examine the industries' business practices. Healthcare organizations are preparing for congressional inquiries about the cost of care while responding to rulemaking involving the Medicare physician fee schedule and implementation of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Miranda said the administration's policy priorities are moving forward, resulting in a particularly active period for healthcare stakeholders and K Street.

"It's the second year of this administration, which means that a lot of the proposals and policy agendas are really taking hold," she explained.
