Edward F. Koren, Jr. Named a Top Attorney by Worth Magazine

TAMPA, Fla. – The firm is pleased to announce that Holland & Knight partner Edward F. Koren , Jr., who chairs the firm’s Private Wealth Services Section, has been named to Worth Magazine’s Top 100 Attorneys List.  This prestigious list of the top lawyers in the nation serving affluent individuals’ personal and family needs is published in the December 2005 issue of Worth Magazine.

Ed’s practice is heavily involved in estate planning and administration matters, particularly focusing upon planning for executives and owners of closely held business interests, as well as the determination of the value of entities. He often handles tax disputes involving succession and income taxes, and is involved in various aspects of probate and trust controversies, both as counsel and as an expert witness.

He is the Immediate Past Chair of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the American Bar Association, after serving for two years as head of its Probate and Trust Division. He is immediate past Chair of the Estate and Gift Tax Committee of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and also is a past Regent. He is a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel and the American Bar Foundation, and also is very active in The Florida Bar, serving as Chairman of its Tax Section from 1990-91 and Chairman of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section from 1988-89. He is a Florida Board Certified Wills, Trusts and Estates Lawyer, has received the highest rating assigned by Martindale-Hubbell, and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Who’s Who in American Law, and Who’s Who in America.
