John R. Dierking Receives The Florida Bar President's Pro Bono Service Award for 2018

ORLANDO, Fla. (January 26, 2018) – Holland & Knight Partner John R. Dierking received The Florida Bar President's Pro Bono Service Award for 2018 during a ceremony at the Florida Supreme Court in Tallahassee on Jan. 25.

Each year The Florida Bar honors one attorney from each judicial circuit statewide for outstanding efforts in making legal representation available to those otherwise unable to afford it. Mr. Dierking was chosen as the winner for the 9th Judicial Circuit, covering Orange and Osceola counties.

Mr. Dierking practices in the area of mergers and acquisitions. He also represents clients in a variety of antitrust, financing and general corporate matters. Despite not being a litigator by practice, Mr. Dierking has been representing children in court and administrative proceedings through Florida’s Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program for 25 years. Over the years, he has helped more than 125 children and worked more than 2,500 hours advocating for children who have been victims of neglect, abuse or abandonment.
