Georgia Municipal Association’s Marci Rubensohn Joins Holland & Knight’s Government Advocacy Team

ATLANTA (August 29, 2019) – Former deputy director of Georgia Municipal Association has joined Holland & Knight as a senior policy advisor and member of the firm's Georgia Government Advocacy Team.

"Marci is a great addition to our team," said Robert Highsmith, head of the firm's Georgia Government Advocacy Team. "Her clients include market leaders in numerous areas, including transportation, and she is incredibly adept at helping them find legislative and regulatory solutions to their problems. She also has many years of experience securing government procurement opportunities and economic development tax incentives for clients."

Ms. Rubensohn began her legislative career as an attorney for the Georgia Senate Research Office, providing legal and policy analysis of legislation coming before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Following her work with the Georgia Senate, Ms. Rubensohn served as the deputy director of government relations for the Georgia Municipal Association, where she was responsible for lobbying the state legislature on behalf of its 550 members and for representing municipal utility systems at the Georgia Public Service Commission.

Ms. Rubensohn has been appointed to various task forces, including the City of Atlanta Code Enforcement Commission, the University System of Georgia Alcohol Abuse Task Force and the Midtown Atlanta Land Use Committee.

She earned a J.D. degree from Emory University School of Law and a B.A. degree from Emory University.
