Holland & Knight Continues Growth of Real Estate Practice with Addition of Alexander Lycoyannis in New York
NEW YORK (August 7, 2023) – Holland & Knight has strengthened its nationally recognized Real Estate Capital Markets Group with the addition of Partner Alexander Lycoyannis in New York. Mr. Lycoyannis represents owners, developers and landlords in all phases of litigation and appellate matters before New York City, New York State and federal courts. He was previously a partner with Rosenberg & Estis PC.

Mr. Lycoyannis is one of New York's go-to practitioners for real estate-related litigation. With broad knowledge and experience in an array of real estate and complex commercial matters, Mr. Lycoyannis has represented clients ranging from the country's largest real estate developers to individuals who own a single building. He has successfully litigated disputes arising out of commercial leases and contracts for the purchase and sale of real property; commercial and residential landlord/tenant litigation; rent overcharge claims and other matters relating to New York City rent regulation; applications for Yellowstone and preliminary injunctions; corporate, partnership and limited liability company (LLC) disputes; the New York City Loft Law; brokerage commissions; condominium and cooperative disputes; construction litigation; adjacent landowner disputes; and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and mortgage foreclosures.
Additionally, Mr. Lycoyannis is a prominent legal writer and speaker, having been a regular columnist for the New York Law Journal and having also been published in the New York Post, Commercial Observer and Law360, among other publications. He has also testified before the New York State Senate and New York City Council on pending legislation affecting New York real estate.
