Holland & Knight Advises Yamaha Motor Co. on Strategic Equity Acquisition in Colombia

BOGOTÁ (August 1, 2025) – Holland & Knight acted as counsel to Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd., a Japanese mobility manufacturer, in its acquisition of a significant equity interest in Industria Colombiana de Motocicletas Yamaha S.A. (Incolmotos), one of Colombia's leading motorcycle manufacturers and distributors. The transaction further consolidates Yamaha's existing majority stake in Incolmotos and reinforces its long-term strategic presence in the Colombian and regional markets.

The transaction reflects Yamaha's continued investment in one of Latin America's most dynamic mobility sectors. Holland & Knight provided comprehensive legal support throughout the process – from the initial structuring and issuance of the Letter of Intent (LOI) to the effective closing, which took place on July 24.
