Overview

Christopher L. Camarra is a real estate attorney in the Washington, D.C., office of Holland & Knight and serves as the chairman of the firm's Real Estate & Hospitality Industry Sector Group. He also serves as the Public and Charitable Services Partner for the D.C. office. Mr. Camarra concentrates his practice in commercial real estate law, including all aspects of real estate acquisition and disposition, development, leasing, management and financing.

Mr. Camarra represents institutional investors such as life insurance companies, pension funds, real estate advisory groups, real estate investment trusts, and commercial and residential developers in connection with their local and national real estate investments. This representation includes the acquisition and financing of office buildings, shopping centers, hotels and other investment-grade properties in single-asset and multi-state, multi-property portfolio transactions. Mr. Camarra is well-versed in hospitality law and also has substantial experience in hotel and resort development, including hotel management agreements, branded residential projects, restaurant agreements and general hotel operation matters nationwide. A substantial portion of Mr. Camarra's practice focuses on commercial leasing, and he represents landlords and tenants in leases of office, retail, industrial and other product classes.

In addition, Mr. Camarra is a lecturer at the University of Maryland's Colvin Institute of Real Estate Development where he established and annually teaches a semester course on commercial leasing practice for graduate students.
