Elin I. Park is a litigator in Holland & Knight's Chicago office. Ms. Park represents companies and individuals in high-stakes commercial litigation and class actions across a range of disputes, including false advertising, privacy, fiduciary duties, asset management practices, and state and federal consumer protection statutes. She also handles disputes involving vendors, suppliers and contactors, as well as regulatory proceedings and investigations. Ms. Park works closely with, and reports directly to, officers of companies, who consider her a trusted adviser. She has been recognized for her effective advocacy by the courts, including a federal court that described her advocacy as "superlative."

In addition, Ms. Park's practice spans a range of industries, including retail, technology, energy, manufacturers and financial institutions.

Ms. Park's recent representative matters include:

  • represented a national retail company in a contract dispute with a vendor
  • represented a technology company in a contract dispute with a vendor
  • represented a chemicals distributor in a billion-dollar contract dispute with a supplier
  • represented energy companies in a dispute with a contractor and its parent company involving several hundred million dollars in damages stemming from defective performance
  • represented energy companies in a regulatory proceeding resulting from a wildfire
  • represented an automobile manufacturer in a class action alleging defective parts
  • represented a technology company in a privacy class action
  • represented an internet service provider in a regulatory investigation regarding its response to a storm
  • represented insurance companies in class actions alleging unlawful kickback programs in violations of federal and state statutes
  • represented an information services provider in a class action alleging fraudulent practices
  • represented a financial institution in a class action alleging mismanagement of trust assets
  • represented a mortgage lender in a series of contract disputes
  • represented a major corporation in eminent domain proceedings
  • represented an ingredients distributor in litigation arising out of the acquisition of a company
  • represented a media company in a multibillion-dollar arbitration regarding an option to acquire an interest in another company
  • represented clients in multiple civil rights litigation matters, including federal jury trial

Ms. Park has been appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court to serve on its Committee on Character and Fitness. Ms. Park is highly engaged in legal and civic communities. In addition, she has held leadership roles across multiple bar associations.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Park worked as a litigator in the Chicago office of an international law firm.
