Overview

Kisha R. Wilson is a Boston attorney who concentrates her practice on intellectual property (IP), information technology (IT) and data privacy matters. Ms. Wilson assists clients across a wide range of issues, with a particular focus on technology transactions, data privacy and IP licensing.

Ms. Wilson's experience includes drafting and advising clients on technology license agreements, including software agreements, end-user license agreements, acceptable use policies, master service agreements, trademark and copyright license agreements. Ms. Wilson also has experience advising clients on information security best practices and data incident response, as well as performing IP due diligence in connection with merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions.

While in law school, Ms. Wilson was a member of the Journal of High Technology Law, a legal innovation and technology fellow, and president of the Student Peace and Reconciliation Coalition. Ms. Wilson also received the school's Social Change Award for her dedicated commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the Suffolk Law Community.

  • Representing a private liberal arts college in negotiations with a technology service provider
  • Drafting and negotiating a technology license agreement on behalf of a retirement system with a portfolio valued at more than $65 billion

  • Developing artificial intelligence (AI) guidelines and procedures for a top private university
  • Developing a partnership agreement to support AI collaborations for a defense software company

  • Preparing and implementing a records management policy and a set of procedures for a real estate private equity firm with real estate assets in excess of $7.5 billion

  • Advising on intellectual property (IP) and information technology (IT) elements in a transaction in which our client acquired a high-end network engineering, network security and data management services provider in the national security space
  • Advising on IP and IT elements in the sale of a provider of IT consulting and agile application development services in the intelligence community

  • Drafting and negotiating agreements to facilitate the exchange of data, including complex deals to enable integration of technology products and vendor data protection addenda for a top communications provider
  • Counseling on product and partnership development, including early-stage identification of risks and implementation of privacy-by-design principles for a multinational retail store
