You are invited to attend the joint meeting of the American Bar Association (ABA) Small Business and Other Socioeconomic Programs Committee and the Mergers and Acquisitions Committee for a January meeting at Holland & Knight's Tysons, Virginia, office featuring panelists from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

We will discuss recertification and the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) impacts from the SBA's final HUBZone rule, which was issued on Dec. 17, 2024, and is effective on Jan. 16, 2025.

Topics will include:

  • the effect of size recertifications following a merger, acquisition or other change in control
  • discussion of minority shareholders' abilities to block certain extraordinary actions across socioeconomic programs
  • increased investment opportunities in 8(a) participants
  • expanded scope of formal size determinations for multi-agency contract (MAC) holders

We hope you will join us for this highly informative panel discussion, to be followed by a cocktail reception co-sponsored by Holland & Knight, Morrison Foerster, and PilieroMazza.
