International Trade attorney Matt Rosenbaum will speak at the American Conference Institute's (ACI) 16th Forum on Global Encryption, AI, Cloud & Cyber Export Controls. Taking place in San Francisco, the two-day event will explore the increasingly intersecting worlds of export controls and sanctions compliance and emerging technology and defense; it will feature presentations on topics including artificial intelligence (AI) classification and use in export controls, cloud sovereignty, multijurisdictional trade compliance, export dispute resolution and technology control plans. Mr. Rosenbaum's session will occur on the second day of the forum and will examine the overlap among export, sanctions, and information and communications technology and services (ICTS) compliance. He will touch on the new Affiliates Rule from the U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) and explain how to prepare for the updated regulations, in addition to outlining effective due diligence and monitoring mechanisms. His experience as a senior official at the Commerce Department and former federal prosecutor will offer a valuable perspective for companies looking to update their compliance policies and procedures in response to regulatory and enforcement developments. Holland & Knight is proud to sponsor the conference.
