Tax attorneys Joshua Odintz and William Sherman and Private Wealth Services attorney Shaina Kamen will speak at the 85th Institute on Federal Taxation, hosted by the New York University (NYU) School of Professional Studies. William will examine U.S. tax considerations for cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A) following recent changes to the controlled foreign corporation (CFC) rules and related international tax provisions. His discussion will cover taxable and tax-free acquisitions, recently issued pro rata share regulations, holding company planning and inversion transactions, helping practitioners evaluate the tax implications of acquiring foreign and U.S. companies.
