Environmental Policy for Hazardous Waste Management 2022-2030

Environment attorney Margarita Solorza published a column in Asuntos Legales in which she analyzes the Environmental Policy for the Comprehensive Management of Hazardous Waste and Action Plan 2022-2030 recently published by Colombia's Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (MADS). The policy seeks to prevent the generation of hazardous waste and promote environmentally sound management of what is generated in order to minimize risks to health and the environment as well as contribute to sustainable development. Ms. Solorza explains different aspects of this policy and discusses some strategies that can be used to solve some of the problems identified by MADS.
