Reg A+ Sends Ripples To Marketplace As Cos. Test Waters

Small companies are beginning to feel the impact that the Regulation A+ guidelines have on raising capital. The rules provide new registration exemptions for businesses to raise up to $50 million in new capital over a 12-month period. Attorney Doug Praw says it's more likely that Regulation A+ will simply become another way for certain companies to raise capital in "groundbreaking" ways, rather than causing a huge disturbance.

"There's a lot of excitement about it," he said. "I think it's groundbreaking and a dramatic shift in how capital will be raised. But it's still a 'wait and see.'"
