Take Steps to Prevent, Address Sexual Harassment in the Workplace

Partners Katrina Chapman and Joshua Bosin's tips for preventing and addressing workplace sexual harassment were outlined in a Campus Legal Advisor article. Their recommendations were originally presented at Stetson University in February 2018 at the 39th Annual National Conference on Law & High Education.

Ms. Chapman and Mr. Bosin's tips include: developing an explicit policy against sexual harassment; clearly and regularly communicating the policy to employees to ensure effectiveness; allowing for multiple reporting avenues and ensuring confidentiality; taking all complaints seriously and investigating; providing remedies and corrective action; and preventing retaliation.
