"We Need Women to Be Able to Achieve a Balance Between Work and Family Life"

Mining attorney Estefanny Pardo was interviewed by Ámbito Jurídico about her recent appointment as vice president of Women in Mining Colombia. Ms. Pardo highlighted that one of the organization's main goals is to transform the culture of discrimination against women in the mining sector, turning this situation into an opportunity to demonstrate the benefits of female participation. She added that labor policies are needed to allow women to achieve a balance between work and family life, as well as adequate health and safety conditions in mining operations.

"The energy transition sought by the National Government is concerning, given the impacts that may be generated for women who are part of the mining industry," she said.
