Multiple Holland & Knight Lawyers Recognized at Daily Business Review’s 2017 Professional Excellence Awards

MIAMI (May 25, 2017) – Several Holland & Knight attorneys from the firm’s South Florida offices were recognized last night at the Daily Business Review’s 2017 Professional Excellence Awards.

The Professional Excellence Awards honors attorneys and judges who have made a remarkable difference in the legal profession in Florida, whether in shaping the law, achieving outsized results for their clients, being an outstanding jurist or assisting those in need of legal services.

Kelly-Ann Cartwright and Wifredo Ferrer were named Distinguished Leaders. Ms. Cartwright has served as executive partner of Holland & Knight’s Miami office for 10 years. Mr. Ferrer recently served nearly seven years as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. He now leads Holland & Knight’s Global Compliance and Investigations Team.

Nichole Scott and Joshua Levenson were honored in the On the Rise category. Ms. Scott is a partner in Holland & Knight’s Miami office and a member of the Private Wealth Services Group. Mr. Levenson is a partner in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office and a member of the South Florida Litigation Group.

Holland & Knight was also recognized for its outstanding work in the area of international litigation. The firm earned the title of Litigation Department of the Year – International in the “large firm” category for its successes over the past year. Teams of South Florida-based litigation attorneys won critical victories for one of Venezuela’s largest private hospitals, Policlinica Metropolitana, and Puerto Rico’s healthcare agency, ASES.
