Holland & Knight Advises MBF Healthcare Partners II in Acquisition of Valley Medical Centers

MIAMI (April 14, 2023) – Holland & Knight represented MBF Healthcare Partners II L.P. and its portfolio company Palm Medical Centers in the acquisition of Valley Medical Centers (VMC), a primary care practice with four medical center locations in Central Florida. The deal was announced on April 4, 2023.

Based in Coral Gables, Florida, MBF is a leading middle market healthcare private equity fund. MBF has managed and helped build some of the nation's most innovative and successful healthcare companies.

Palm Medical Centers, headquartered in Coral Gables, Florida, is a provider of value-based, capitated primary care services through its network of 31 medical centers across eight counties in Florida that serve more than 43,000 combined Medicare Advantage and managed Medicaid patients.

The acquisition of VMC marks Palm's debut in Orange County and is the first phase of the provider's initiative to expand its clinical model throughout the Orlando area, which will continue in 2023 and 2024 with several additional clinic openings and acquisitions.
