Holland & Knight Continues Strategic Growth in Boston with Addition of Finance Partner Fred David
BOSTON (July 21, 2026) – Holland & Knight continues its strategic growth in Boston with the addition of Fred David, previously from Akin Gump, as a partner in its Financial Services Section. Mr. David advises private credit funds, private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, and other financial institutions on a wide range of debt financing transactions, with an emphasis on advising private credit funds in connection with complex sponsor-backed acquisition financings and complex private credit transactions.
The addition of Mr. David follows recent Boston-based partner arrivals, including Corporate, M&A and Securities Partners Monika Kwok and David Powers, as well as Partner Katherine Baker, who is leading the Firm's National Gaming Team.

Mr. David has experience on both sides of the financing table in large-cap and middle-market financing and restructuring transactions. He advises clients throughout the investment life cycle on cash flow and asset-based financings, complex liability management transactions, restructurings and other special situations.

Mr. David received his J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
