BOSTON/ATLANTA (May 26, 2026) – Holland & Knight has bolstered its national Gaming Practice with the additions of Katherine Baker in Boston and Joshua Kirschner in Atlanta. Both were previously partners with Nelson Mullins, where Ms. Baker was chair of the firm's Gaming Industry Group. Ms. Baker will lead Holland & Knight's national Gaming Practice, and Mr. Kirschner will serve as the deputy team leader.

"We are eager to grow the Firm's Gaming Practice with the addition of Katie and Josh. They bring deep experience advising gaming clients across a wide range of gaming platforms. Together, they offer a strong combination of private practice and in‑house industry experience, along with meaningful relationships across the gaming ecosystem," said Karen Walker, leader of the Firm's Government Section. "Their arrival enhances our ability to support clients navigating an increasingly complex, technology‑driven and highly regulated gaming landscape, and we are pleased to have them join the Firm."

Ms. Baker is a gaming regulatory attorney and litigator who assists casino gaming, iGaming, sports betting and fantasy sports operators, vendors and entrepreneurs to navigate the state and federal, commercial and Tribal gaming landscapes, including leveraging financial technology (FinTech) solutions. She advises gaming clients on regulatory compliance, licensing and legislative strategy, provides legal opinions in support of operations, and serves as gaming regulatory counsel for corporate transactions. Ms. Baker also represents clients in complex litigation matters in state and federal court, primarily in gaming-related disputes.

"I am excited to join Holland & Knight and to lead a gaming practice with such innovative lawyers and momentum. The Firm brings together the regulatory, litigation and transactional depth that gaming clients increasingly need as the industry continues to evolve," Ms. Baker said. "It's an exciting time to be a lawyer in this space as the rules for new gaming experiences are still being written. I look forward to supporting the team's growth across established and emerging gaming markets."

Mr. Kirschner's work focuses on advising gaming clients on litigation, regulatory and strategic risk in connection with various gaming operations, business transactions and disputes, and crisis management and response. "I am thrilled to join Holland & Knight and contribute to a gaming practice that takes a truly integrated approach to advising clients. The Firm's collaborative platform and breadth of experience across related practice areas create a powerful foundation for helping gaming and technology‑driven businesses manage risk, pursue growth and respond to new challenges," Mr. Kirschner said. "I look forward to working with clients and colleagues to address the strategic issues shaping the future of the gaming industry."
