Overview

Greg Meece focuses his practice on general civil litigation, with a particular emphasis on cases involving commercial, oil and gas, lender liability, environmental, product liability (including drug and medical device), and construction issues, as well as class actions and arbitrations.

Representative Experience

  • Defended a multi-million-dollar arbitration claim against a major drilling company that resulted in a complete defense award
  • Defended royalty claims asserted by the U.S. government arising out of take-or-pay settlements
  • Represented the claimant in a multi-million-dollar international arbitration in Switzerland that resulted in a favorable settlement for our client following the two-week arbitration hearing
  • Prosecuted a significant lawsuit on behalf of a pipe and processing construction company that resulted in our client receiving a favorable settlement
  • Prosecuted a claim on behalf of three international energy clients in an ICC arbitration that resulted in a favorable award for our clients
  • Represented numerous exploration and production companies (both operators and non-operators) in a variety of matters, including joint operating disputes, well blow-outs, royalty litigation, and environmental contamination suits
  • Represented national and regional banks in numerous cases involving lender liability, breach of contract, tortious interference, and fraud claims
  • Complete defense judgment in a breach of contract action for the largest multi-specialty physician group in Texas and appeal in the U.S. Fifth Circuit
  • Represented several private equity funds specializing in the energy industry in numerous matters, including lawsuits involving breach of contract, lender liability, and fraud
  • Represented an international manufacturer of building products in lawsuits filed by more than 800 plaintiffs across Texas
  • Represented international manufacturers of drugs and medical devices in a variety of lawsuits
