Overview
Kristie Shu is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Century City office and a member of the Corporate, M&A and Securities (CMAS) Section.
Ms. Shu's practice is concentrated in the areas of private equity, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate governance. She represents buyers, sellers, private equity funds and their portfolio companies in a variety of business transactions, including M&A, leveraged buyouts, carve-outs, joint ventures, restructurings and other complex strategic transactions. Ms. Shu also advises clients with respect to general corporate and governance matters. Her experience encompasses a variety of industries, with a particular focus in technology, consumer products, manufacturing and retail.
Additionally, Ms. Shu supports the Legal Services Transactions Team by advising on legal services transactions, including law firm management services organization (MSO) structuring, alternative business structures (ABS) and private equity investment into law firms.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Shu was an attorney in the M&A and private equity practice of a global law firm in its Los Angeles office.
While in law school, Ms. Shu was managing executive editor of the Northwestern Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property.
