Stacey H. Wang is a partner in Holland & Knight's Los Angeles office and a member of the West Coast Litigation Group, Compliance Services Team, and White Collar Defense and Investigations Team.
Ms. Wang represents domestic and foreign businesses in complex commercial and intellectual property matters, such as infringement, trade secret theft, product liability, business fraud and unfair competition actions, including defending against advertising/business practice class actions. She also represents companies and individuals involved in criminal and regulatory investigations, including in SEC investigations, as well as in parallel civil False Claims Act and private securities cases. She has served as a volunteer deputy district attorney for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, where she has tried jury cases to verdict.
In the legal community, Ms. Wang was one of 14 lawyers recognized with the Best Lawyers Under 40 award by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association. She previously was recognized as a Rising Star in Business Litigation by Southern California Super Lawyers magazine. Ms. Wang is a past president of the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association (SCCLA), one of the oldest Asian-American bar associations in the country, and a former board member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association (APABA). She has served on the American Bar Association (ABA) Litigation Section's Federal Practice Task Force, which initiates and considers revisions to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. She is a past chair of the ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section's (TIPS) International Law Committee.
Within the firm, Ms. Wang was one of five women selected in 2014 to the firm's "Rising Star" women's initiative program. She previously was selected as the litigation Chesterfield Smith Fellow and spent one year litigating high-profile pro bono matters across the country. She currently serves as the Public and Charitable Service partner for the Los Angeles office and the firmwide pro bono coordinator for cases referred by Kids in Need of Defense, a pro bono initiative that aims to provide legal representation to unaccompanied children in removal proceedings. She also chairs the firm's Asian/Pacific Islander Affinity Group, sits on the Diversity Council, and is a member of the firm's Diversity and Inclusion Engagement Initiative.
Ms. Wang was a judicial extern to the Honorable Margaret M. Morrow of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. She also served as a state bar-certified extern for the Civil Licensing Section of the California Attorney General's Office, where she prosecuted licensing cases. Other law school activities include being selected to compete in Vienna, Austria, in the Willem C. Vis International Moot Arbitration competition and serving as the chief copy (articles) editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles International & Comparative Law Review.
