From "Energy Transition" to "Energy Imposition"

Energy attorney Claro Manuel Cotes published a column in Asuntos Legales discussing the energy transition in Colombia and emphasizing the importance of a responsible transition. He explains that there exists disinformation about extraction activity and investment in the development of mining and hydrocarbons. However, he insists that it is essential to promote the correct regulatory integration so that regulations are comprehensive from a social and environmental point of view instead of seeking to prohibit the performance of activities in the mining-hydrocarbon sector. Above all, he stresses that the energy transition must be sensible and realistic.
