Maritime Finance attorneys Richard Furey and Jovi Tenev, with contributions from attorneys Richard Crowley, Jonathan Epstein, Michael Frevola, Gerald Morrissey and Barbra Parlin, produced the USA chapter of the Lexology Panoramic: Ship Finance 2026 guide. The comprehensive publication presents jurisdictional comparisons of issues affecting the global ship finance market. In their chapter, Holland & Knight's lawyers break down U.S. laws and regulations involving due diligence, repayment, vessel registration, ship mortgages and liens, tax considerations, and insolvency and restructuring. Topics covered include demonstrating legal title or ownership of a vessel – and eligibility for registration – types of ship mortgages and overview of non-mortgage liens, cross-border insolvency, tax incentives and domestic tax provisions, and lender obligations.

Mr. Furey and Mr. Tenev also served as the guide's overall editors, and attorneys Sophia Agathis and Nicholas Kaasik wrote its introduction.
