James Paine Joins Holland & Knight as Head of Outsourcing and Technology Transactions Practice

ATLANTA (April 12, 2018) – James R. Paine Jr. has joined Holland & Knight as a partner in the firm's Atlanta office and will be leading the firm's Outsourcing and Technology Transactions practice. Mr. Paine was previously a partner with Kilpatrick Townsend. Prior to that, he was primary counsel for information technology and data security matters at Home Depot Inc.

He joins with two associates, also from Kilpatrick Townsend, Ross Berger and Lacey Elmore.

Mr. Paine focuses his practice on a wide range of strategic information technology and business process outsourcing matters, enterprise resource planning (ERP) licensing, implementation and support arrangements, cloud services solutions, including software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS) and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and other technology transactions. In addition, he has experience with marketing and e-commerce agreements arrangements, joint ventures and strategic alliances, and other large commercial contracts. Mr. Paine is recognized as a leading attorney in the areas of IT outsourcing and technology law by The Best Lawyers in America.
