Three Holland & Knight Partners Named to Lawyers of Color’s Power List

MIAMI (February 24, 2020) – Holland & Knight Partners Wifredo Ferrer, Enrique Gómez-Pinzón and Vivian Thoreen have been selected to Lawyers of Color’s Power List 2020. The Power List, now in its fifth year, recognizes the most influential minority attorneys in the nation as well as legal diversity advocates including corporate general counsel, law firm managing partners, law school deans and government attorneys.

Lawyers of Color is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit organization devoted to promoting diversity in the legal profession and advancing democracy and equality in marginalized communities. Its annual Power List is the only comprehensive collection of minority leaders in the legal profession.

Mr. Ferrer is the executive partner of Holland & Knight’s Miami office and chair of the firm’s Global Compliance and Investigations Team. He focuses his practice primarily on internal corporate investigations, corporate compliance and training, and white collar criminal defense. Prior to joining Holland & Knight, he was the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Florida.

Mr. Gómez-Pinzón is the executive partner of the firm’s office in Bogotá, Colombia and distributes his time between Washington, D.C. and Bogotá. He practices in the areas of cross-border investment and financing, mergers and acquisitions, international arbitration and project financing. He has participated in some of the most important financings and privatizations in Colombia in the last 30 years.

Ms. Thoreen is the executive partner of Holland & Knight’s Los Angeles office and chairs the firm’s national Private Wealth Services Dispute Resolution Team. She is a litigator and experienced trial lawyer whose practice focuses on complex trust, estate, conservatorship and trust disputes. She has handled some of the most sensitive and high-profile cases in her field.

Mr. Ferrer, Mr. Gómez-Pinzón, Ms. Thoreen and the other honorees will be celebrated at a reception on February 26 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington, D.C.
