Holland & Knight Advises Homewood Holdings in Sale to American Construction Source

Tysons, Va. (March 4, 2020) – Holland & Knight represented Homewood Holdings, a portfolio company of Building Industry Partners LLC (BIP) and regional dealer of lumber and building materials, in its sale to American Construction Source (ACS). ACS is a leading national building materials distributor backed by private equity firms Angeles Equity Partners, LLC and Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. The deal was announced on February 26.

Homewood Holdings was founded in early 2016 by BIP and building industry veteran Jim Stockman with a vision to build a best-in-class Western U.S. lumber and building material pro dealer organization. BIP is the leading private equity investment firm focused on the U.S. middle-market building products industry.

Partner Adam August represented Homewood Holdings in the deal. He was assisted by Partner Ashley Plemons and Associates Simone Summers, Andy Erickson and Fernando Tevez.
