Energy and environment attorney José V. Zapata contributed to the book Comparative Energy Mining Regulation published by the Mining Energy Law Department of the Universidad Externado de Colombia. The work presents a compilation of investigations into the environmental, social and technological challenges to advancing the energy transition in Colombia. Mr. Zapata's chapter analyzes the influence of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors in the country's energy mining industry, with a particular focus on compliance.
