California Attorney General Issues New Legal Advisories on Artificial Intelligence
Healthcare attorneys Dan Silverboard, John Vaughan and Amber Jenise Maynard co-authored an article featured in The Journal of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & Law discussing two recent legal advisories from the California attorney general whose goal is to provide clarity on the application of California laws for businesses that deploy artificial intelligence (AI). The authors explore ways healthcare organizations can comply with relevant California laws when using AI technologies and how compliance goes beyond just healthcare laws; providers and companies should also consider tort, environmental, business and public health regulations when adopting AI systems.
The attorneys also published a Holland & Knight alert on this topic.
