Holland & Knight Attorneys Named Top Dealmakers by Daily Business Review

MIAMI (May 8, 2015) – Holland & Knight is proud to announce that four of the firm's South Florida attorneys were recognized as "Top Dealmakers of the Year" by the Daily Business Review at its ninth annual awards luncheon.

The Top Dealmakers are selected by the Review's editorial staff from hundreds of nominations in 14 categories. According to the publication, the Top Dealmakers awards recognize "overachievers at law firms, brokerages and companies who are making names for themselves as go-to professionals."

Fort Lauderdale partner Tammy Knight took home the top award in the "Hotel" category for her work representing Interval Leisure Group (ILG) in its purchase of Hyatt Hotels Corp.'s timeshare division for $220 million. Ms. Knight led a team of more than 30 attorneys on the transaction. The deal included Hyatt's interest in a joint venture that owns a vacation ownership property in Hawaii and a master license agreement that grants ILG the exclusive right to use the Hyatt brand.

A team of Miami attorneys, led by partner William McCullough, were named Top Dealmakers in the "Construction Financing" category for their role in arranging financing for the development of The Surf Club Four Seasons Private Residences and Hotel. Mr. McCullough, along with partner John Halula and associate Ilana Strickon, successfully secured a $290 million nonrecourse construction loan from Blackstone Group's Debt Strategies Fund for their client Fort Capital Management, the developer of the luxury project in Surfside, Florida.
