Holland & Knight Advises One Thousand Group on Acquisition, Financing and Ongoing Development of Anantara Miami Resort & Residences in East Edgewater
MIAMI (April 27, 2026) – Holland & Knight has advised and continues to advise One Thousand Group in connection with the acquisition, financing and ongoing development of its East Edgewater site in Miami, now announced as Anantara Miami Resort & Residences – the first U.S. location for the globally renowned Anantara luxury hospitality brand. One Thousand Group, in partnership with Bangkok-based Minor Hotels, recently unveiled plans for the landmark 50-story tower, which will rise 650 feet above Biscayne Bay and feature 50 five-star boutique hotel suites, 100 private branded condominium residences and 120 resort residences.
Holland & Knight represented One Thousand Group in negotiating purchase agreements and related amendments with the three sellers comprising the multi-parcel assemblage, handled the closing of the land acquisition and advised on the complex, multi-layered financing structure used to acquire the sites. The Firm continues to represent One Thousand Group on ongoing project finance and development matters as the project advances.
Designed by architecture firms Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) and ODP Architecture & Design, with interiors by celebrated designer Patricia Urquiola, Anantara Miami Resort & Residences will blend Thai-inspired hospitality, wellness and cultural immersion with Miami's cosmopolitan character. The development will offer a collection of vitality and longevity amenities, curated wellness programming and Anantara's signature approach to service rooted in the Thai concept of nam jai – genuine, selfless hospitality.
The 1.6‑acre site, located at 3601 Biscayne Boulevard, sits at the convergence of Miami's Edgewater, Design District and Wynwood neighborhoods. The project is expected to open in 2030, with sales anticipated to launch later this year through ONE Sotheby's International Realty as the exclusive sales team.
